Superstarcase.org: The Content Creators

Superstarcase.org has now been designated as the official home for Superstarcase Content Creators. As our program is the only one like it anywhere, the designation was a necessity. Superstarcase.org has been specifically created and designed to house International Content Creators to be Certified by Superstarcase. This Certification will be necessary if these specialized "geniuses" are to be part of the process of developing multifacted, multiplistic productions that will allow us to display Superstarcase.com Certified Talent to the world market (various countries).

Stepping into the future...

Our plan for the future of entertainment

Something is definitely on the horizon. What it is, I don't necessarily know, but something is definitely coming. Consider this, one of the reasons many folks go into the entertainment business is to make a living. Another, because they have the perception that the work is easy and fun. To some measure and in a large degree, I can see why they think so. Still more, they just want to be rich or famous or both. Who would blame them? Not bad work, if you can get it. Whatever your pleasure, I'm sure there's a category out there that will suit your needs. Just chant on it, fire up some incense, or mediate. I'm sure the direction will manifest itself in some unbelievable fashion, as it always seems to, for the very faithful. And while you're doing all of that, contemplate the state of affairs, of every aspect of the industry.

Starting with product, every area of the business, in some form or another, is dedicated to the creation, sales, marketing & promotion of product. Product and it's sales, are the lifeblood of it all. The great thing about this is, the diversity of sell able fair comes in all shapes
and media and graces a wide spectrum of endeavors associated with the entertainment industry. Remember this fact, for it is the single most important point in this whole, ridiculous little exercise. Simple, it may be, but often it's message gets convoluted and obscured by any number of circumstances.

Of course it's not necessary to point out these minor important bits and pieces to you, esteemed colleagues, captains of the industry. It's just that, occasionally, a tiny little reminder can be helpful, to push the clutter aside and clear our minds for vastly more important pursuits. Saving our industry and preserving our way of life, while progressively moving forward into the future an onward to a different dimension of intelligence and life, well...who could resist? No doubt about it, the future appears to bode well for us, citizens of the world community. We just need a little nudging and remembrance of loving that we projected so fiercely, when we were making our bones in the crafts. Success and "making it" are both subjective theme's better suited to be judged by one's self, rather than a plethora of Near do well's who have no clue of the standards of what is important to each and everyone of us. Sure, we could have been taller, we could have been smaller, we could have been richer, we could have been wiser, but in the final analysis we must grade our own report cards and be truthful to ourselves as to what we believe we have done. The only other in authority to usurp that privilege is....who?

Back to the subject at hand....Unless we intelligently start addressing the issues that divide us from our audience, we will all lose. The issues (illegal downloading & piracy), serpentine wend their way into the psyches of consumers & embolden them with the audacity to, unquenchable and unrelentingly take on the persona of a glutton. The glutton is never satisfied, never appeased and if unchecked loss is inevitable. .

"Be afraid, be very afraid"

Saturday, December 27, 2008

After the last piece I posted, I received emails from folks who had interest in "Creating Productions and Artists Careers for International, world audiences. Too, I received a noticeable amount of emails from artists, having different dilemma's, many wrought by their own action's. None of us is infallible to making bad decisions.

Finding work and getting paid for it properly, or getting paid for it at all, are two very important points paramount to talent. Even at this juncture of my life, I battle more than ever collecting overdue royalties & publishing monies due me. You can never slack off on this. Those who owe you will almost never be there, to readily pay you. So you'd better learn quick, fast and in a hurry.

Here is a true story for you.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas by Rockstar Games/Take Two Interactive, is a huge, international selling video game. At one point, it was the best selling video game ever. One of the most controversial too. You thought it was all over? "Hot Coffee"n that was it? No. Remember when, store owners took that game off their shelves around the world & politicians got it banned in many countries. There's still a lot more to the story.

It's no well kept insider's secret, I'm sure you knew that the character's on the game package were created and animated from pictures of real people. One step beyond, the main image on the software is none other than Dazzzzle (Carrie Simmons), an artist I once worked with. Dazzzzle's adventure with the company was, unfortunate.

Those "real people", were only paid 200 bucks each. The game has gone sold millions ($60's a pop when it first came out) and all these artists got was $200 each? Unconscionable. For Dazzzzle the sting was more bitter to taste, with all the sexually deviated stuff added by "Hot Coffee".

According to Gamestop.com, three month's ago the total amount of games sold had reached 310 million copies.

Superstarcase.com - Artists/Productions for the World!

I have been developing this concept for quite a while. With relation to the many intricacies involved, I find that finally, I've reached a point where I want to involve other industry professionals. It's such a massive and rewarding opportunity. In spite of Hollywood's reputation for scurrilous activities, "thievery" and a plethora of other No-No's, I feel compelled to put this opportunity out there.

The industry is changing dramatically. Media and mediums are developing and metamorphosing at an accelerated pace. Some folks are very accepting of this, while others, unprepared, are less tolerant. Many colleagues have fallen, by the wayside. Many just left the business alone entirely. I may have been one of them but strong convictions and faith kept me here, "fighting the good fight". Besides, what else would I do? Understanding all of this, I put my heart into developing Superstarcase.org, a foundational site of sorts, designed to help associates and performing artists around the world, to overcome these seemingly insurmountable odds that changed others fate's so terribly. Coupled with all the economic turmoil, well that was, a serious one, two combination that few could ever recover from.

Superstarcase.com is different. It is the commercial arm and opposite side of the coin of Superstarcase.org. For all our associates, creators, developers, performers, writers and other industry pros, it was born to help create an "international audience base". You know, a super-audience, massive in size with unlimited buying power. Indeed, it required a bit of thought, but I found it very feasible and beginning to happen right before our eyes. One of the main points we'll need to to understand is, when an event takes place in one part of the world, the rest of the world just doesn't sit still twiddling it's thumbs. It keeps engaging in it's own affairs. Carefully crafted productions reflective of the whole world at any given time. Television and film makers, need to be more cognizant of that fact. It's the only way to begin to take more of a part in the coming, true, world economic boom. The entertainment industry was first and hardest hit when the Internet came on the scene, so we shall become the one to benefit first and foremost, maybe. Life is cyclic and nothing remains the same forever, so prepare to create a good customer base for your products first. Then you create products specifically designed and developed for an audience who will tell you exactly what they want. They will also tell you what they want to see and merchandise they are willing to buy. Taking the adventure of speculating about budgets and product, once and for all times. All this while reaching an internationally monumental base of diverse cultures and races.

If you are interested, please check out the embryonic versions of Superstarcase.com (commercial site) and Superstarcase.org (modeled foundation-ally). I welcome your comments and suggestions. Thanks for reading this.
